• Bespoke creations
If you’re looking for something made in leather, look no further. From a very specific design to the vaguest idea can work with you to bring your thoughts to reality. Perhaps you would like a family heirloom recreated, your twist on a classic design, or your own unique creation brought to life — that’s my passion.
  • Production
If you have a product you’d like made in quantity, speak with me. I can accommodate short production runs entirely in-house, and can sub-contract larger runs. Lead times are usually quite short. Custom hardware, leather finishes and colours can be arranged.
  • Sewing
I have invested heavily in a wide range of specialist leather sewing equipment. If you have an unusual requirement I can probably help — transverse feed (“up the arm”), thick threads and extremely heavy thickness (up to 20mm) easily accommodated. I can also sew by hand in the traditional manner, at a huge range of stitch lengths and material thicknesses — perfect for a period-correct piece.
  • Splitting
Leather and similar materials split using a professional band-knife splitter — any amount large or small, up to 12”/300mm width.
  • Embossing
I can emboss leather with plates up to 50x90mm eithe with foil or without (blind debossing). I can either use a plate you provide or I could source one to your artwork.
  • Laser engraving
Coming soon I’ll be able to engrave leather from artwork using a modern violet laser.
  • Repairs and alterations taken, by arrangement

All of my standard ranges are available in trade/wholesale quantities. Depending on quantities required all aspects of all designs can be altered to suit your customer. Items can be provided branded under Rum & Hide, unbranded, or branded to your company.
